David
Paul Goehmann was born on November 19, 1976 to Rodney and
Shirley Goehmann, the second of five children, Benjamin,
Rachel, Jonathan, and Anna. David was baptized on December 19,
1976 at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Belknap, MI by Rev.
Harry White.
He was
confirmed May 24, 1991 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hemlock, MI
by Rev. Elmer Scheifir. David's confirmation verse is Psalm
27:1. While attending Valley Lutheran High School in Saginaw,
MI he was urged to enter the ministry by Rev. Bob Smith. After
a year and a half of pharmacy schoo, he was inspired by Rev.
Paul Kelto at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Escanaba, MI to
become a Pastor.
David
graduated from Concordia River Forest , IL in May of 2000 with
a degree in Theological Languages. In that same month he
married Heidi (Weirich), certified as a deaconess in the
LCMS. He has four children, Macee Hope was born on July
18, 2002, Jonah Allen Paul was born on June 15, 2004, Jyeva
Faith was born March 15, 2008 and Ezekiel Clifford Paul was
born October 20, 2010.
David
served his vicarage at Mt. Calvary Lutheran church in
Holdrege, NE under care of Rev. Kenton Birtell. David
graduated from Concordia Seminary St. Louis, MO and was called
to St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wauseon, Ohio on April 27,
2004.
David's
hobbies include, hunting, fishing, canoeing, baseball, soccer,
golf, and genrally any other outdoor activity.
Heidi
has taken the responsibility of leading the Churches Youth
group and various other activities, like some small group
Bible Studies and leading the childrens
music.
